He played a pivotal role in the 1990s resurgence and expansion of the Las Vegas Strip with developments such as The Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio, and Wynn Las Vegas.
Sheldon Adelson – He was a casino magnate, philanthropist, and political donor. He owned the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, which operates The Venetian and The Palazzo, among others. Adelson’s vision of integrated resorts instead of standalone casinos helped reshape the industry. (Adelson passed away in January 2021).
